ASQ Canada Conference 2022-11-19Overcoming Adversity: A Leap Forward

Hybrid Conference, hosted by ASQ Vancouver

This year ASQ Vancouver Section 408 is hosting the 2022 ASQ Canada’s National Conference on Quality and Business Excellence on Saturday, November 19th, 2022. Now that we are emerging from the pandemic, the conference theme this year is: “Overcoming Adversity: A Leap Forward ”.

The Vancouver Section is so excited that the national conference would be a one-day interactive hybrid event for both physical and virtual attendees. Except for the first two morning sessions, all other sessions will be held in a hybrid format with speakers presenting in-person while participants attending in-person or virtually. As if all that is not enough, your participation in the conference will give you Recertification Units towards ASQ re-certification and can be applied to your PDUs with PMI and other professional institutions. Tickets for the conference will be available soon!

Cette année, la section 408 d’ASQ Vancouver accueille la conférence nationale 2022 d’ASQ Canada sur la qualité et l’excellence en affaires le samedi 19 novembre 2022. Maintenant que nous sortons de la pandémie, le thème de la conférence cette année est: “Surmonter l’adversité: Un bond en avant”.

La section de Vancouver est ravie que la conférence nationale soit un événement hybride interactif d’une journée pour les participants physiques et virtuels. À l’exception des deux premières séances du matin, toutes les autres séances se dérouleront dans un format hybride, les conférenciers faisant des présentations en personne et les participants assistant en personne ou virtuellement. Comme si tout cela ne suffisait pas, votre participation à la conférence vous donnera des unités de recertification pour le renouvellement de la certification ASQ et pourra être appliquée à vos PDU avec le PMI et d’autres institutions professionnelles. Vancouver Call for Papers 2022-08-26La section de Vancouver accepte actuellement les candidatures de conférenciers pour l’opportunité de présenter cet événement passionnant – qui se déroulera dans un format mixte – en ligne et en personne sur:

Surmonter l’adversité: Un bond en avant

L’objectif de la conférence est de créer une plate-forme pour partager les développements de pointe dans les domaines de la gestion de la qualité et de l’excellence commerciale. Ils sont impatients d’entendre des experts du secteur, des leaders d’opinion et des coachs d’affaires qui inspireront notre public à surmonter l’adversité qu’ils peuvent rencontrer dans leur vie en trouvant des stratégies pour aller de l’avant.

La conférence attire un large éventail de professionnels, de praticiens et d’étudiants en gestion de la qualité, en opérations commerciales et dans des disciplines connexes, résidant au Canada et aux États-Unis et se joignant virtuellement depuis d’autres parties du monde. Il s’agit donc d’une excellente occasion pour les conférenciers de présenter leur expertise devant un public potentiellement mondial.

Toutes les propositions doivent inclure un apprentissage pratique qui peut être mis en œuvre dans les formats suivants: discours-programme, études de cas, ateliers, discussions de groupe, etc. Les argumentaires de vente ne sont pas acceptés. 1. Une brève biographie professionnelle comprenant vos expériences antérieures en tant que conférencier et vos références (environ 150 mots).
2. Un bref synopsis de votre proposition de présentation qui établit un lien clair avec le thème de la conférence (la présentation doit durer environ 35 minutes – avec un peu de temps à la fin pour les questions).
3. Les principaux points à retenir de votre session – jusqu’à trois objectifs d’apprentissage majeurs.
4. Votre photo d’identité actuelle (de préférence 2,5 cm x 2,5 cm en format jpeg, mais le format png est également acceptable).
5. Indiquez si vous êtes intéressé ou non par une place d’orateur de réserve.

Overcoming Adversity: A Leap Forward

The purpose of the conference is to create a platform for sharing leading-edge developments in the fields of Quality Management and Business Excellence. They are looking forward to hearing from industry experts, thought leaders and business coaches who will inspire our audience to overcome the adversity they may face in their lives by finding strategies for moving forward.

The conference attracts a wide range of professionals, practitioners and students of Quality Management, Business Operations and related disciplines residing in Canada, and the US and joining virtually from other parts of the world. So, this is a great opportunity for speakers to showcase their expertise in front of a potentially worldwide audience.

All proposals must include practical learning that can be implemented in the following formats: keynote speeches, case studies, workshops, panel discussions, etc. Sales pitches are not accepted. 1. Brief professional bio including your previous speaking experience and references (approximately 150 words).
2. Brief synopsis of your proposed presentation that clearly links it to the conference theme (the presentation should be approximately 35 minutes long – with some time allocated at the end for questions).
3. Key takeaways from your session – up to three top learning objectives.
4. Your current headshot (preferably 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm in jpeg format but png is also acceptable).
5. Indication whether or not you are interested in taking a spot as a backup speaker.

The Montreal Section will be hosting the 2021 ASQ Canadian Conference, which will take place on the 4th and 5th of October in virtual mode. The theme is Risk and Resilience and would be illustrated by various conferences and workshops with hands-on experiences, each rated by ‘knowledge levels’. Three objectives close to our hearts have been selected:

  • An interactive experience;
  • Activities categorized by level of knowledge of the subject;
  • A bilingual conference.

See the Call for paper details and to ask to present an article, please submit an abstract by June 30, 2021 to David Tozer, Technical Committee Chair. The committee will review the submissions and select papers for presentation.

Early bird tickets are now available as well.

La section de Montréal accueillera la Conférence canadienne de l’ASQ 2021 les 4 et 5 octobre en mode virtuel. Le thème est le Risque et résilience et sera illustré par diverses conférences et ateliers avec des expériences pratiques, chacune étant évaluée en fonction de “niveaux de connaissance”. Trois objectifs qui nous tiennent à cœur ont été identifié :

  • Une expérience interactive ;
  • Des activités classées par niveau de connaissance du sujet ;
  • Une conférence bilingue.

Voir les détails de l’Appel à conférenciers pour demander à présenter un article et soumettre un résumé avant le 30 juin, 2021 à David Tozer, président du comité technique. Le comité examinera les soumissions et sélectionnera les articles à présenter.

2021 ASQ Canadian Conference

The Montreal Section will be hosting the 2021 ASQ Canadian Conference, which will probably take place in October, traditionally Quality Month, but in virtual mode. A planning team has started work and has identified many ideas. The working theme for the Conference is Risk and Resilience and it would be illustrated by various conferences and workshops with hands-on experiences, each rated by “knowledge levels”. We have already identified three objectives close to our hearts:

  • An interactive experience;
  • Activities categorized by level of knowledge of the subject;
  • A bilingual conference.
